Off Grid Accommodation
Based on the grounds of a 300 year old ‘Woodsman’s’ cottage, set above the river Fal in Southern Cornwall, there is an entire wilderness retreat in the forest including a huge fire pit, hunting lodge, tree house, shepherd’s hut and potting shed, outdoor kitchen and feast table, indoor and outdoor communal barn, hot showers with river views. The setting is within an ancient oak woodland in a private creek, the scene is wild, creative and peaceful. It is the perfect getaway to Awaken your adventurous spirit, unleash your warrior mentality and master your inner calm on Thera-Sea’s off-grid rewilding retreats. The venue is only accessible by hike or boat and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
About the accommodation
Duvets, pillows and all linen included. We have a large fire pit, long outdoor feast table, hammock area overlooking the river, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen including army oven, clay pizza oven and gas hobs.
All rooms are shared apart from the Shepherds lodge. If you would like to request a specific room or share with the same gender, please let us know upon booking. The rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Amenities
There are male and female toilets, a washing up area, 2 outdoor hot showers, as well as a versatile indoor communal space known as ‘The Barn’, with wood burner and indoor seating; perfect for parties, dining, reading and relaxing. All this plus acres of woodland to roam and wild swimming in the river.
